Get ready to dive into a vibrant, unpredictable, and seriously addictive art experience!
Alcohol ink is pure magic on paper — a mesmerizing dance of colour where the inks seem to have a life of their own. Watch in awe as rich, flowing pigments collide, bloom, repel, and blend into stunning organic patterns right before your eyes. Every piece is completely unique, and half the excitement is letting go and seeing where the inks take you.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the captivating world of alcohol inks on smooth synthetic yupo paper, working with luminous translucent tones and shimmering metallics. From dreamy marbling and soft dappling to bold, fluid drips and subtle florals, you’ll experiment with techniques that bring depth, movement, and balance to your artwork.
With gentle guidance and plenty of creative freedom, you’ll be amazed at what you can create — even if you’ve never picked up inks before. By the end, you’ll have your own striking pieces ready to display and the confidence to keep exploring at home.
What to expect:
- A live demonstration by Patrycja Whipp, showcasing two beautiful techniques you can easily recreate
- Step-by-step insights into colour combinations, flow control, and composition
- Your own finished artworks (1 x A3 and 1 x A4) to take home and treasure
- A curated list of favourite materials and tools to continue your journey
- A relaxed, small-group setting (max. 8 students) with plenty of personal attention
- Delicious morning tea, afternoon snacks, and a selection of hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks
